Oil of the Good Samaritan is an extremely beneficial topical and aromatic oil primarily used for its purifying anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial properties. Though the known benefits of the oils contained within are quite expansive!


Topically: The oil may be applied to the temples, behind the ear, armpits, abdomen, feet, or any major joint.

Aromatically: A few drops of the oil may be mixed with water and used in a diffuser, as a spray, or in a simmering pan. Additionally, a few drops may be placed on a cloth or handkerchief and placed over the mouth and nose.

Contains - Cinnamon, Clove, Lemon, Eucalyptus, Rosemary, and Olive Oil.

 

Benefits of the Ingredients:

Lemon Oil: Lemon oil is a highly invigorating and refreshing oil used for ages as a natural disinfectant and anti-fungal. It has likewise historically been used for hair, skin, and general health. Everything from stress and anxiety to improving skin tone.

Cinnamon Leaf Oil: Cinnamon is known as the “eternal tree of tropical medicine” due to its vast medicinal properties. In addition to being an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, antimicrobial, anticancer, lipid-lowering, and cardiovascular-disease-lowering compound, cinnamon has also been reported to have activities against neurological disorders, such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases.1

Clove Bud Oil: Clove bud essential oil is known for its antioxidant, antifungal, anticarcinogenic, and anesthetic activities and for its antiprotozoal effects, thanks to its richness in many phytochemicals. 2

Eucalyptus Oil: Eucalyptus oil has antimicrobial effects against many bacteria, including Mycobacterium tuberculosis and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), viruses, and fungi (including Candida). Surprisingly for an antimicrobial substance, there are also immune-stimulatory, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic, and spasmolytic effects.3 The inhalation of its vapors has also been shown to have a subjective pain-reducing effect.4

Rosemary Oil: Rosemary has significant antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-apoptotic, anti-tumorigenic, antinociceptive, and neuroprotective properties. Furthermore, it shows important clinical effects on mood, learning, memory, pain, anxiety, and sleep. Not only that, but Rosemary Oil is also shown to have anti-depressant and anti-epileptic qualities as well.5
